I have decided to do some research into different tailoring stitches that I feel will be useful when coming to the next stages of the jacket and trousers. I found there are many good books for this though my main source is from 'The Victorian Tailor' because its easily understandable.
The main new stitch will be the Pad Stitch:
I believe from, reading instructions in 'The Modern Outfitter and Clothier' the pad stitching will be used in the canvas inside the jacket, lapel and collar. I am looking forward to learning this stitch as I believe that I will be useful in the future.
