I machined the shoulder seam together with the extra ease on the back panel allowing for the should bones. I then pinned in the sleeve allowing for the ease, working from the bottom pitch, then working round, swooping sides and finishing at the top of the shoulder. On the top section there is quite a lot of ease, but I think the wool will manipulate a lot easier that calico, creating a smoother armhole join to the sleeve.
I have placed the jacket onto a stand to see how it hangs. I am pleased with it, it doesn't hang to far forward or to far back, it hangs straight down. The straight of grain runs out around the cuff and the sleeve it has a nice curve in it, without and kinks or wrinkles.
