Model and Type of Figure

Model photos

When reading part of 'The Modern Tailor Outfitter and Clothier' book I came across a chapter called 'Types of Male Figure'. Not only was it an interesting read, I decided to establish my own models figure type. Below is the article taken from the book showing common male figures:

From looking at the different figures, 'Figure F' I believe to be most representative of my model.
As it description:

'This figure has more  than one aspect differing from the normal, or standard. It is tall, with long neck, and the hip are rather small laterally. It is possible for this type to have a relatively large seat, that part being prominent at the back though flat at the side. A figure of this kind is likely to have long arms.'

Although this isn't clear through the photographs, because of modern fashion. He is taller than average, with a long neck. He has a larger seat than expected in a male, though from the front and side, looks flat at the hip giving a box shape. He also has long arms propositioned with his tall shape.

When drafting the pattern and constructing the garment, I will keep these observations in mind to establish the correct cut and tailoring for his body type.
