Within today's section Graham our tutor, gave us two of his blocks to test, as he wishes to publish a book of his own and needs to know if the patterns work.
The second is a basic waistcoat block, I am not making the waistcoat, though drafting one all the same.
The first is a basic jacket block. When I have drafted the pattern, I will use this as a starting point to develop and adapt the pattern to the style of my chosen design for the jacket. Later I will compare this block to other jacket pattern blocks to distinguish differences and similarities, to period and style of the garments cut.
Graham will also give us a trousers block, hopefully by next week.
